Recovery Lancaster announces FREE legal assistance available

In the spirit of helping our community through the pandemic, the Lancaster Bar Association is partnering with Recovery Lancaster and has arranged for a number of local business lawyers to offer initial free consultations to small businesses (under 20 employees) based in Lancaster County on legal issues relating to the pandemic and the challenges it poses for businesses.  Qualifying businesses receive a free initial consultation of up to one-hour with a participating attorney. Some of the areas in which LBA attorneys can assist with questions include:

Amazon to open delivery hub in Elizabethtown, creating ‘hundreds’ of jobs

“I’m not surprised they picked us,” said Heather Hohenwarter, executive director of the Elizabethtown Area Chamber of Commerce.

The area is central to Lancaster, Harrisburg and York, and served by major highways — factors that also helped draw Nordstrom and Grove Collaborative fulfillment centers there recently, she observed.

Amazon Plans Delivery Station in West Donegal

Township Manager John Yoder says they recently learned about the move. He says it is refreshing to have a high profile company in the region, and it will attract job seekers from his community and the surrounding region.

“It is 25 minutes to Harrisburg and 20 minutes to Lancaster and a half hour to Lebanon and 30 minutes to York,” Yoder said. “It is centrally located in the region and has access to Route 230. It is a prime spot from that standpoint.” >WATCH
